✈️ IMF makes it clear that SA government should prioritise poverty over SAA

In response to the DA’s letter alerting the IMF to government’s latest SAA bailout, the International Monetary Fund called for the SA-government to invest in reducing poverty instead of sinking money into SOEs that make persistent losses.

👀 Amendments to the Health Act give unvetted powers to the Minister of Health similar to a State of Disaster

The DA warned that Health Minister, Zweli Mkhize’s, late-night changes to regulations on government surveillance just before the state of disaster is due to expire, give the impression of a government desperate to retain power over its citizens.
