A diverse group of DA members attended the gathering at Senekal today together with hundreds of other people to express support for the family of Brendin Horner who was brutally and senselessly murdered on a farm near Paul Roux in Free State last Friday. The DA was also there to demonstrate outrage at the continuous criminal attacks on our farming community.

Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, has today conceded that there is no budget to fund the establishment of the National Council of Gender-Based Violence and Femicide (NCGBVF) and that there is no timeframe on the legislation to be passed. It is unacceptable that vulnerable individuals continue to be abused while the government fails to act and protect them.
