#BudgetSpeech: A grants cut to pay for more bailouts.

The Minister of Finance has cut allocations to social grants to pay more bailouts for SAA, Eskom and the Land Bank.
This Budget will raise the cost of living for those South Africans who face the hardest times.

It would seem as though government was simply engaging in a box-ticking exercise under the guise of “transformation” and ultimately ignored the voices opposed to the name changes. This was clearly nothing more than a political ploy by the ANC government to garner votes in an election year.
